Beach Stones With White Lines 23 – Location shot of Charmouth Beach looking east towards the Heritage Centre and Golden Cap, from the area near Raffey’s Ledge where numerous stones with patterns of white calcite veins are strewn on the shore. The patterned stones are mostly derived from Birchi Nodules that fall down from the cliff. The cliff is composed of Shales-with-Beef Member of the Charmouth Mudstone Formation belonging to the Lower Lias of the Jurassic Period.
