Whiteford Point Pebbles 19

Pebbles from a sand spit at Whiteford Point

Whiteford Point Pebbles 19 – An unusual rock (maybe schist from far afield) among the partially exposed pebbles and shells on the sand spit at Whiteford Point, Gower, South Wales. Many of the pebbles are thought to have been derived from a deposit of material from a melting ice sheet in the Devensian Period.
