035 Out on the Causeway – Close-up detail of the holes in calcite rock made by marine worm burrows on the Worms Head Causeway in Gower, South Wales. Worm burrows are a significant form of bio-erosion in coastal rocks. The yellow colour is probably due to a surface bio-film.
